Japan set off an upsurge of Ukiyo-e Water Margin. Among them, the Ukiyo-e monolithic painting "Hundred and Eight Heroes of the Water Margin", created by Ukiyo-e master Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1798-1861), was the most famous Water Margin picture book at the time, which printed in this artwork.
